Welcome to Sullivan County Fire Department

We are located in Sullivan County which is in the northeast region of Tennessee. This region is also known as the Tri-Cities because of the three cities that surrounds the area of Blountville. We serve the community of Blountville and the areas surrounding. Our district is about 60 to 70 square miles and covers 7 miles of Interstate 81. Our main station is located on Blountville Boulevard next to the county library. We currently have 5 trucks operating out of our primary station. We have two class A..engines, both holding up to 1,000 gallons of water. We also have a 1,500 gallon tanker, a 300 gallon brush truck, a support vehicle for extended operations, and a spill response trailer for large fuel spills. We are a 100 % volunteer Department, meaning that all members donate their time without any payment..Our equipment, trucks and training are provided by donations, grants and limited county funding. We are here to serve our community. The dept also operates a fire education program that visits every school and daycare in our area. If you would like more information about our department, please feel free to contact us here, or at our station at 323-3421..
